Don’t Neglect Your Business for Your Clients
📣 Your business deserves as much care as your client work:
A word on testing and note-taking.
As a social media marketer, my clients get the best of my brain power, inventiveness, testing and documentation. But is that proper?
Here’s what I mean by that.
I do my best work for my clients, which means improving my business’ marketing and documentation suffers. I’ve let that slide for years, but I’ve had enough.
Here’s an example of what I did:
I created a short video for FB/IG to test out a workflow and app and see what works best. While doing it, I kept thinking, “I need to write this down so I remember!”
So that’s exactly what I did.
I took 10 minutes after production to write a note about what I learned. I even added a reminder to check back on some action items in 30 days.
This was a mini breakthrough for me.
Why should my client work get all the love, not my business? I’ve been shortchanging myself.
Have you ever done that? How?
Here is your permission to give your business/side hustle the love it needs to grow. Don’t neglect your business for your clients’.
What lesson have you learned in business recently? I’d love to hear from you.
